Development of Revised Hazard Index Model for Highway-Rail Grade Crossings (Project no. 362-16-803)

The objectives of the research are to develop an improved replacement for the current hazard index model, increase buy-in and support from legislators and the public, and materially reduce the potential and actual occurrence of crossing incidents.

Development and Calibration of Regional Dynamic Traffic Assignment Models for the Estimation of Traffic Performance Measures in Nevada  (Project no. 557-14-803)

The focus of the research is to improve  the calibration of the current DTA models for the two urban areas in Nevada, providing a connection between regional travel demand forecasting and micro-simulation models.
