Introduction
The I-515 (U.S. 95) from Sunset Road in Henderson to Wyoming Avenue in East Las Vegas Resurfacing Project consists of pavement preservation to improve the safety and rideability of I-515 by replacing mainline concrete slabs, repairing spalls, and upgrading median barrier rail. This project will also include coldmill and overlay on the Galleria Drive interchange ramps and Boulder Highway southbound interchange ramps, and upgrade ADA facilities at select interchanges. Additional items include hydraulic and stormwater upgrades along with signal, lighting, ITS and signs improvements. Traffic control will consist of lane closures in each direction, ramp closures, and possible shoulder closures.
Project Type
This preservation and ADA project is federally funded.
Purpose of the Project
The purpose of the project is to:
- Repair and replace the median barrier
- Repave ramps
- Update signs, signals, lighting, and ITS features along the corridor limits
- Address ADA discontinuities
- Install decorative rock at spot locations.
Anticipated Timeline
The project began in March 2023 and has an anticipated completion date of Fall 2024.
