PURPOSE OF MEETING: The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) invites you to participate in a virtual and in-person public information meeting for the Flamingo Road (Sr 592) Safety Management Plan (SMP). NDOT is studying Flamingo Road (from Paradise to Pecos Road) to evaluate potential solutions to enhance safety for drivers, transit riders, cyclists, and pedestrians.
PROJECT BENEFITS: Flamingo Road (from Paradise to Pecos Road) was selected by NDOT for an SMP due to the high number of fatal and serious injury crashes that have occurred along the corridor in recent years. An SMP is a safety-focused corridor study that results in proposed safety improvements for all road users.
WHEN AND WHERE: The virtual meeting will be open from January 29, 2024 through February 29, 2024 at 5 p.m., available 24 hours a day via the internet at tinyurl.com/FlamingoSMP. Public access to computers and/or hard copies of the presentation will be available at the meeting.
WHERE YOU COME IN: Members of the public are encouraged to participate at their convenience any time over the 30-day virtual meeting period and/or attend the in-person meeting. In addition to any comments received at the in-person meeting or via the virtual meeting website, written or emailed comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. on February 29, 2024.
