PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites you to participate in a public information meeting to learn about the I-11 Feasibility Study and to provide input on what specific improvements may be needed to convert U.S. 95 to an access-controlled interstate highway facility (Interstate 11). Potential improvements may include new interchanges and access roads and a freeway bypass around Indian Springs.
This public meeting will take place online and in person. The meeting will inform the traveling public, business owners, and residents about the corridor characteristics, project goals, and potential improvement types. The public will have the opportunity to provide feedback on corridor needs and potential solutions.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY: The goal of the project is to complete the necessary planning, alternatives development, environmental and preliminary engineering studies to inform a future National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) study of the future I-11 from Kyle Canyon to Mercury Highway. This project is a Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) study to identify and evaluate alternatives for improving U.S. 95 to interstate standards to advance the most feasible alternative(s) for further consideration. Information collected during this PEL study will be used in a future NEPA review.
