About Us
We are always working to improve how government delivers technology services, allowing the Department of Transportation to transform how we build and maintain Nevada’s roadway systems and infrastructure. We collaborate with NDOT management and staff, helping them make better decisions using smart devices, data analytics, responsive web design, and cloud technology to heighten their digital experience.

Units
PLAN: Project Management & Solutions Delivery
Our PLAN unit is responsible for the IT project prioritization process and managing approved IT products and projects. This includes the management of vendor contracts as well as custom development. Staff interacts with department stakeholders to gather business workflows and requirements. Recently, the department's Stormwater Division included technology staff assigned to this unit to carry out the implementation of an Asset Management and Stormwater Inspection and Reporting System.

BUILD: Enterprise Application Development & Support
Our BUILD unit is responsible for the development and maintenance of custom applications, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics, as well as a rapidly increasing role in our enterprise GIS. The unit currently operates fully under the agile SCRUM framework. The unit has recently adopted the use of MVC and C# as the primary coding language and uses JQuery and BootStrap, but still supports multiple systems built on multiple versions of legacy languages such as ASP and VB6.

RUN: Infrastructure & Operational Support
Our RUN unit is responsible for the operation, installation, maintenance, and general support of all the agency’s servers, networking, database, telecommunications, video conferencing, service desk, desktop, and mobile device support (with the exception of the Intelligence Transportation Systems run out of the Traffic Operations Technology unit). We primarily deploy Dell, Avaya, and Microsoft technologies and work to stay no less than one version back from current releases. The unit also supports several Oracle products and Apple mobile devices.

Policy and Standard Documents
Office Location
The primary NDOT Information Technology office is located in Room 305 of the Carson City Headquarters building at 1263 S. Stewart St, Carson City, Nevada. We also maintain work-space in the Las Vegas NDOT offices, located at 123 E. Washington Avenue.
