Nevada Freight Rail 

The vision for freight rail transportation in Nevada is to have an economically-competitive freight rail system that moves goods efficiently and expeditiously across the state.

A fully integrated freight rail system with interstate and intrastate shipping modes will help ease highway congestion and improve the overall safety and quality of life for the traveling public and the citizens of Nevada. The primary transporters of freight by rail in Nevada are BNSF and UPRR.

Union Pacific railroad is the nation's largest Class 1 railroad and one of the largest intermodal carriers – the transport of truck trailers and marine containers. The railroad helps link production and consumption points in the U.S., and across the world, with a network to deliver the energy, food, raw materials, durable and consumer goods to support the nation's growth.
