The I-80 Corridor Study process began in September 2007, with the gathering of stakeholders from government agencies and local interest groups.

The study was organized as an open, inclusive, transparent, and accessible process to include the broadest range of stakeholders possible, with the intention to address current and future needs to improve corridor traffic conditions.

Below is the 2009, I 80 Corridor Study that was produced from the process which involved extensive amount of data collection, analysis, and brainstorming from all the participants involved in this project.
