PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites you to attend a virtual public information meeting for the Tropicana West project. Your feedback is important to NDOT, which has prepared studies to evaluate and document the proposed project’s potential impacts in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA). Planned to be constructed as Phase 5 of the adjacent I-15 Tropicana project, this project will implement safety and operational improvements, in alignment with regional plans, along Tropicana Avenue between Polaris Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.

PROJECT PURPOSE: The purpose of the Tropicana West project is to improve traffic operations, roadway capacity, system linkage and safety for both pedestrians and motorists, as well

 as enhance the potential for local economic development. The project widens Tropicana Avenue to Valley View Boulevard, a major north/south arterial road.

WHEN AND WHERE: The virtual public meeting will be available 24 hours a day via the internet from June 12 through July 12, 2023, at dot.nv.gov/tropwest.

WHERE YOU COME IN: Members of the public are encouraged to participate at their convenience during the 30-day virtual meeting period. In addition to any comments received via the virtual meeting website, written or emailed comments will be accepted through July 12, 2023. IF RIGHT-OF-WAY IS NEEDED: The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 will govern the acquisition of right-of-way that may be necessary for this project.
